Wakefern Food Corporation is a chain of independent grocery stores in the northern and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. It has about 10,000 associates who work for stores such as ShopRite and PriceRite.
It uses an online portal as well as a mobile app to help employees manage their benefits, paychecks, and scheduling. Wakefern uses an employee self-service portal for benefits as well as a mobile app called Kronos for managing schedules.
While scheduling used to be available on Wakefern’s member portal, employees now must download the Kronos Workforce Mobile app. You can download the app for iPhones on the and for Android phones.
Once you have downloaded the appropriate app, you’ll need to click on the link provided on the member portal page that says “Click here to populate server information.” Copy that URL and paste it into the field on your mobile app screen.
You’ll need a username and password to complete the login process.
On the Kronos app, you’ll be able to check your schedule, punch in and out with ease, and determine if you have any time off available.
Employee Self Service
Employees who work at Wakefern enjoy many different benefits and can access information regarding their employment at any time, day or night, via this portal. Note that benefits aren’t the same in all locations, and they may differ depending on if you’re a part-time or full-time employee.
To access this information, navigate to the Wakefern login page at ess.wakefern.com. You’ll see a screen with fields for your User ID and Password. If you can’t remember your password, click on the Reset Password link below the Password field. You’ll need your User Name on this screen.
Can’t remember your User Name? Click on the Sign In Help link on the bottom right under the Password field. On the next screen, you can choose from “Forgot user name,” “Reset password,” and “Unlock account” to help you access your account with new information.
